The Book: Digital Transformation
Over the years, in addition to the theoretical foundation, I have gained over a decade of experience with digital transformation. During my MBA, I developed a step-by-step plan to effectively guide companies through change. I further developed this method in practice and summarized it in an engaging visual representation (the digital transformation roadmap). I received a suggestion from someone working at the largest software provider in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector to write a book, with the remark, "I don't think you realize what you have in your hands." I pondered on this and started writing. With this book, I aim to assist individuals and companies in digitization because I believe that digitization can solve many of the problems in today's world. I want to share my knowledge and experience to help companies achieve more with fewer resources in a better way.
The book "Digital Transformation" helps companies with change and digitization. In a world where we encounter new technology every day, businesses must adapt quickly. Digitization is a crucial aspect within every company, but how proficient are we in managing change?
In our private lives, we use new technology every day. The usage is intuitive, making it easy to become more digital. However, within existing companies, change often faces resistance and emotions.
This book outlines a change process for organizations aiming to digitize. It focuses on technology and processes but, more importantly, on how people utilize them in their daily routines. The book makes the process of change tangible and provides a compelling visual representation to make changes visible. With this change process and visual representation, the organization is guided through digital transformation in a structured and inspiring manner. This way, digital transformation truly takes shape, and the organization is structured for optimal collaboration and continuous improvement.
This book is intended for everyone who sees opportunities to innovate and improve!
It is a book for pioneers, managers, and catalysts of digitization within companies with 25 or more employees. The practical examples in the book revolve around information management and automation in the construction sector but are applicable in all organizations where digital transformation is a desire or even a necessity. This book provides guidance for anyone with a vision for digital innovation and aims to implement it within an existing organization.
